I was always the type of person who would be constantly worrying about many different aspects of life and who was seemingly always very stressed. I have to admit that on many occasions I have gone to bed hoping that I would die in my sleep and therefore would not wake up.

It was all about being honest with myself. There have been many a night where I have been unable to get to sleep all night, basically I had too many worries circling through my mind. This meant that I could not relax and therefore could not sleep.

These are just a few of many questions that I used to ask myself.

I decided to discuss the way I was living my life and my fears to my parents. They gave me some superb advice. These people said that stressing about a situation does not help one little bit – I needed to occupy my time more so that I would not have so much to stress. At the end of the day the only thing that each of us can do each and every day is to give our best – if I do this then I have nothing to fear or worry about. These people advised that I needed to shake off the negative attitude that I had had for far too long and that I needed to focus on what I had in life rather than on what I believed I did not have. There will no doubt be challenges ahead but you need to deal with them when they arise.

I have taken on board there advice even though it has not been easy. My life is now so much better and when a fear comes into my head I just bat it away.

He is basically saying to all of the players that he is going to just go for it, no fear, no worries, he is just going to attack. In his opinion, if he has this attitude and plays well, he will have every chance of winning the tournament. Now he obviously can not win every tournament, but he does seem to win his fair share.

I remember feeling very nervous about attending an interview. It managed to think of high quality answers despite the obvious high pressured situation – overall the interview went very well. I actually quite enjoyed the meeting and am happy to let you know that I was offered the position two weeks later.

Stress Relief Advice – Life Is To Short To Worry About What Other People Think Of You

In this article I write about how we need to chill out, relax and to live a stress-free life. I was somebody who used to stress and worry about seemingly everything and was commonly known amongst friends as a stress-head.

I lived life like this for quite a long time and was basically being a fool as I was often depressed. This was due to the fact that I had a stutter and despite attending stammering treatments on a regular basis I was unable to find a solution. Years later I did manage to stop stammering, after a lot of hard work and with the help of a seventy minute self-help DVD.

In my quest to improve my life I started to read literature about stress management, how to eradicate depression as well as how to gain in confidence. I was now twenty-two years of age and had achieved very little in life up to this point. I happened to come accross the letters page of one particular magazine and started to read a letter which had been written by an elderly lady. It was quite a funny letter and she wrote about how she loved being old. She mentioned that she can now stay in bed all day if she wants to and does not care what people think of her. If she is invited to a social occasion which she does not want to attend, she will say no without feeling any sense of guilt. She wrote that for the first time in her life she does not care at all what people think of her and lives life doing exactly what she wants to do.

I thought about what she had written and realised that I also felt trapped. I did not want to wait until I was in my seventies to be set free, I wanted freedom now. I had to change my attitude to life and I decided to stop trying so hard.

I believe that I am a good human being; I try to do right by the people that I meet; I am honest and caring and try to live life in the right way. I actually for the first time in my life, quite like myself, therefore if other people choose not to, that is fine by me.

My new found positive attitude has helped me in many different ways including in my business life where I sell front doors. My life is back on track thanks to that lovely old lady.
