Why Does Tiger Woods Wear Red And Black Clothes?

March 18th, 2010 Neil Warner No comments

I have recently read a about the golf player Tiger Woods. He is a very interesting character and a very good and successful golf player. It explained how he always wears red and black colours for his clothes, on the last day of each tournament. He chooses the colours of red and black as these colours represent a courageous attitude; he is saying to the rest of the players; I am going for it today – no messing about – it seems to work. He is basically saying to all of the players that he is going to just go for it, no fear, no worries, he is just going to attack. In his opinion, if he has this attitude and plays well, he will have every chance of winning the tournament. Now he obviously can not win every tournament, but he does seem to win his fair share.

Do not get me wrong I do not work within this area; I am personally involved with DVD duplication and I also sell cheap holidays as well as working with a stuttering specialist.

I remember feeling very nervous about attending an interview. This was exactly the type of situation which I would worry and get stressed out about~I have never been very good in these types of situation and would have become very anxious about it in the past}. I would question why I was even attending the interview as I was bound to fail. This is of course an example of my negative attitude.

From reading all of these books, I decided that worrying was certainly not going to help me and that I needed to think positive. After looking through my wardrobe I realised that I could really do with some new clothes as the one’s that I had were a little worse for wear. I went to the shops to buy some quality shirts, a couple of ties, some new shoes and a brand new suit. I will never forget seeing myself in the mirror with this new suit on, I looked extremely smart and I felt very proud of myself. Just wearing this new suit gave me a huge boost of confidence. I went to the interview feeling more positive than ever and pretended I was Tiger, I was just going to go for it and see what happens.

I was quite amazed to find that my brain seemed to be in tip top form during the interview. It managed to think of high quality answers despite the obvious high pressured situation – overall the interview went very well. I actually quite enjoyed the meeting and am happy to let you know that I was offered the position two weeks later.

How To Eliminate Stress

February 12th, 2010 Neil Warner No comments

Up until a few years ago many of my friends and family used to call me “a stress head”. Why you may well be thinking? I basically worried and stressed about most aspects of life.

So what was the cause of all of this stress? Most of the problems were probably due to the fact that I had a stammer/stutter. This speech impediment had developed when I was at the age of four. As you may well imagine it is something that destroyed my overall confidence levels. Therapy for stammering, at the time, was less than impressive which did not exactly help the situation.

My low self-esteem had a bad affect on many areas of my life, not just my speech. I would worry about what other people thought of me, I would stress about my height and my weight. I was so desperate, for whatever reason, for people to like me. Looking back it all just sounds so crazy but it was like I was being controlled by some demonic force. It even affected my career which is within the cheap mobile calls and cheap holidays industries.

As I entered into my twenties I decided that enough was enough. I could no longer live in this way – there surely had to be more to life than this.

I was soon to realise that I was the only person who was going to sort my life out.

I started to work very hard at learning how to increase self-esteem for example. I also studied the ways in which the best fluent talkers were speaking in comparison to me in an attempt to eradicate the speech impediment.

Progress was far from quick however after around a year of battling against my demons I did manage to overcome the stutter and I did manage to discover ways to stop me stressing – it is all about attitude and the way we approach life – think positive and believe in yourself!

How To Stop Stressing

Up until a few years ago many of my friends and family used to call me “a stress head”. Why you may well be thinking? I basically worried and stressed about most aspects of life.

So what was the cause of all of this stress? I suppose if I am truthful the majority of my problems at the time came about due to the fact that I had a stutter. This speech impediment had developed when I was at the age of four. As you may well imagine it is something that destroyed my overall confidence levels. Therapy for stuttering, at the time, was less than impressive which did not exactly help the situation.

My low self-esteem had a bad affect on many areas of my life, not just my speech. I would worry about what other people thought of me, I would stress about my height and my weight. I was so desperate, for whatever reason, for people to like me. I have to say that this now seems so bizarre however at the time I was being plagued by an army of demons that had taken over my brain.

The turning point came as I entered into my twenties; it was time for a change and a big one at that. I could no longer live in this way – there surely had to be more to life than this.

There was only one person who was going to get me out of the mess that I was in and that person was me.
