The Many Practical Uses Of Intuition

March 31st, 2010 Neil Warner No comments

Intuition and subjective knowledge is not just for psychics and remote viewers. The reality is, following your intuition will have many positive benefits in your day to day life.

It's easy, making good decisions leads to happiness, success and fulfillment. Poor decisions can make you unhappy and regretful. This holds true from the smallest decision, from choosing what to wear one day, to the big life decisions, like who to marry.

The more you follow your gut feelings, you will develop a strong sense of being and believing in yourself, which will boost your confidence. You will no longer worry about the what ifs and be paralyzed by choices. You will also avoid the feeling of regret and replaying ‘what if’ scenarios over and over in your head.

Intuition is very useful in business. You can use your intuition for hiring, firing and deciding new business partners and ventures. Many CEO’s most successful moves and strategies seem to follow no logical or rationale, but come from this place of ‘knowing’. While many CEO’s and powerful business people will not openly admit it, most claim that a large part of their success comes from listening to their intuition.

Many people who trade in the stock market or work in risky business rely strongly on their intuition. When something feels ‘right’ they know when to invest, hold or sell. There are many decisions that cannot wait until you have all the information.

You can use intuition in all your relationships. Would’nt it be great to know instantly if you can trust someone or if you believe someone? When you meet someone new, instantly you can tell if this is a person you can develop a deep bond with or not. You have heard the story of the bride or groom who gets jilted at the alter on their wedding day. These stories would never happen if those people had listened to the little voice in their head.

On a lighter side, intuition helps you with directions, finding your keys, parking spaces and being in the right place at the right time. All which could seem like coincidences, but when you think about the last time things just ‘worked’ out for you, was there a certain feeling you had?

When you do have a intuitive experience, no matter how big or how small, its important to lock into that feeling. This way you can access and develop your subjective senses and strengthen your intuitive self.

The Meaning Of Your "Third Eye"

March 29th, 2010 Neil Warner No comments

The term ‘third eye’ has been used to describe many different things. Depending on the context and culture, the ‘third eye’ has a few different meanings.

From ancient Buddhism and Hinduism, the third eye is symbolistic of enlightenment. It is referred to as the ‘eye of wisdom’ and is commonly represented by with a dot or eye mark placed on the forehead of enlightened individuals. The third eye is not thought of as a physical entity, but a spiritual center where your intuition comes from. When one develops their third eye, they improve the bond between meditation and concentration. It is believed that when this bond is strong, one can separate and understand their subconscious from conscious.

In ancient Chinese culture, mainly taoism, the third eye is one of the main chakra center. It is known as the ‘minds eye’. Developing your minds eye is developing your intuition and ability to use subjective senses. The minds eye is the part of your brain that connects the right hemisphere (the creative part of your brain) with the left hemisphere (the logical thinking part of your brain).

In Western culture, the third eye refers to the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland is the part of the brain that is responsible for an unconscious actions of the body, such as breathing, heartbeat, and digestion. It is said that this is where thought meets the nervous system, or where your ‘inner’ and ‘outer’ world meet. In western teachings, the third eye is thought to be dormant until provoked. So a person has to develop, train and strengthen this bond between your inner and outer world.

While each of these definitions have a commonality between them, there are distinct, yet subtle differences between the three. When you hear talk about a "third eye" its important to know the context that the speaker is reffering to.

Its also important to note that these are not the only definitions of the third eye, the term has evolved and means alot of different things in many contexts.
