Self Help

Self Development is a must into today’s chaotic world, and we should be practicing at least the Law of Attraction in order to succeed in our daily attempts at living. Practicing these Forgotten laws can and would change your life as you know it.

The world as we knew it seems to be falling apart all around us. Many people are no longer working at steady jobs, but facing the same challenges of paying debts as they did before. People  are overly worried and anxious as their meagre or not so meagre savings have grown smaller by each passing day.

Many are wondering how they got into this fix. Coming from being a successful, well enlightened professional, to someone who has to take whatever opportunities that come along, no matter how small. They knock the Law of Attraction ,saying that it does not work, without realising that thoughts of worry and lack permeate their minds creating more of the same. Experiences of more lack and things to be anxious about.

A way out, however, is available to you ! You can tap into Laws that can help you change the way you think and feel and put you on the road to recovery in a short space of time, providing that you practise them faithfully .You can and will become successful again and be auspicious beyond your wildest dreams. You can induce the life you require.

You can ask yourself, what thoughts and feelings did I have to manifest your present situation? I am sure that you would be able to pinpoint fears, doubts, resistance to prosperity and joy, over-riding thoughts and strong feelings that you have had over preceding years that have brought you to this position. It could have been a simple strong fundamental desire to have a long holiday from work.

If you are going to work everyday with a feeling of not wanting to be there, pretty soon you would manifest that desire.

The movie “The Secret” offered such hope three years ago, and everyone who looked at it was stunned to realize that their experiences were a direct result of what they put out in their thoughts and feelings. The Secret made everyone excited and happy at the thought that they were not victims of circumstances, but they were living their dreams , whether negative or positive.

This realisation made them happy and excited, because they now know that they are directly responsible for what is attracted into their lives, and they can change that by changing what they choose to think and feel.

It seemed like a bright future that with millions of new converts to the Law of Attraction, a new era of prosperity and abundance would have been ushered in. However, it’s not so easy to rewrite  or replace years or lifetimes of ingrained negative thinking. But the good news is, it is possible! And you can do it!

There are many programs out there to help you along to change what you hold in your consciousness. First you have to root out what is already in there , and replace it with a new way of thinking and feeling.

There are forgotten Laws of the Universe that we have to reacquaint ourselves with and practice them faithfully to change our lives and improve our selves.

This goes a long way toward our own self development, something that we ought to be thinking about as we {progress|go on|advance|get on|shape up} in age.

Some of these laws include, the Law of Thinking, The Law of Abundance, The Law of Attraction, and The Law of Non Resistance. Discover these laws and work with them to achieve self development and create your life as you want it!lf development, self Help, Law of Attraction.

The Best Way To Increase Self-Esteem

September 7th, 2010 Neil Warner No comments

There were a range of things which impacted upon my overall self-confidence and self-esteem levels as I grew from being a young child to a man. These included:

A bald patch on my head

A speech impediment known as a stutter

A weight problem, I was basically too fat

I am rather vertically challenged at only 5ft 4

Certain people I met would be quite nasty and would try to make fun of me. I tried really hard to ensure that these nasty people did not affect me however I must admit that there were many a time when I would shed a tear. Life at times was quite tough especially where I worked at the egg donation clinic.

Aged 22 I decided to do something about this pathetic way of living – I needed to become a real man – I needed to become strong and far more care-free. I decided I needed a big change in attitude and started to read books about life and about positive thinking etc.

These were the things I had to take on board:

Who cares what other people think about you? As long as you like and have respect yourself nothing else really matters

You need to start to like yourself

There are various things about your person, you do not like but which you can not change. You therefore have to start accepting these things and realising that maybe there are other people in life who are more unfortunate than you.

Start respecting life and yourself

Do not accept second best in life

Be happy

I tried hard to implement this advice and even though it was not easy to change, I knew I had to. It is now time to make the most out of my life; I have a lot of catching up to do – there is certainly no time for worrying. I have also managed to eradicate the stammering problem.

I now sell upvc doors for a living and I am a website content copywriter on a part time basis; my life is now much happier overall.

I hope this article will be of benefit to the people who read it.

September 15th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

Negative thinking can make your days extremely difficult for you. After all, it’s like a leak in your confidence faucet and it continually drips away your confidence and, self-esteem. The thing about negative thoughts is that – it is so difficult to stop! While it can be very useful to help you realistically assess potential problems with a situation or plan, being able to turn it on and off at will is crucial lest it overlaps into other areas of your life to sabotage your self belief and personal growth.

Positive thinking is not rocket science - it's just training and loads of exercise. It starts by noticing the small things and achieving small and exciting results that can help bring you back in the game. Here are 5 exercises that can make you feel better, instantly.

1. Read and listen to positive affirmations as a first step to changing your self-talk. When you start your day with affirmations, you set the intention at the beginning of each day to be awesome. It is important to remember that you choose your own attitude.

2. Live in the moment. Be mindful that the cliched saying that “the present is a gift” is absolutely true. While planning for the future is sometimes necessary, you risk getting overwhelmed with a realm of unrealized possibilities. So live in the now.

3. Express gratitude daily. You can do that by keeping a gratitude journal, express daily gratitude with a partner, or by simply indulging in prayer if you are religious. Being aware of the great things that happen throughout your day can easily change your outlook of things. If your day hasn't gone too well, expressing gratitude gives you a different perspective by helping you look for the brighter sides of your day. It might turn out that your day wasn’t too bad after all.

4. Surround yourself with positivity. Whether it’s reading and inspirational or motivational passage on the train to work, listening to a happy song the moment you wake up or having positive people around you each day, it’s important to immerse yourself in it. Both positivity and negativity is contagious. All this positivity can help you not only in encouraging positive thoughts but also aid you in your personal growth.

5 Easy Ways To Be Positive

August 28th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

Remaining positive throughout the day is an important component of your personal growth. Often, though, the day may get the best of us and we may find it difficult to be optimistic about our personal growth. Here are 5 ways to counter negativity and pessimism and instead, introduce a little optimism and positivity in your life!

1. Watch your physique
Keep your back straight when you sit and stand, walk fast, confidently and take big steps. Whether you feel optimistic and positive or not does not matter – fake it, and you will make it. Walking with a slouch and small steps reinforces negativity, a lack of confidence and pessimism. So, if you have to, fake it until you make it. Instead of changing your mind to change your physique, start changing your physique for an instant lift!

2.  Change the way you speak
Much like our physique, the way we speak tends to affect our mood. Not necessarily just the other way around. When you act happy, you feel happy, and as such, more positive. So induce cheerfulness by speaking in an upbeat voice. But it’s not just the voice that you need to inject cheeriness into — it’s the speech vocabulary you choose to use as well! Be aware of the words you use and consciously select upbeat, positive ones instead of more upsetting and pessimistic words. For example, problem vs. opportunity. Once you change your speech vocabulary, you may realize that it’s easier for your brain to create instant positive associations.

3. Focus on solutions.
Everyone has problems. But what differentiates positive individuals from negative ones is their focus. People with positive attitudes focus on the solution instead of the problem. Contrary to popular belief, our brains were not made for complicated multitasking. Choosing to focus solely on solutions forces our the problems, whining and groaning. In addition, working to fix something automatically helps us feel better about ourselves and helplessness induces feelings of pessimism and negativity. So start focusing on the possible solutions and keep thoughts of your pressing problems at bay.

4. Look for inspiration
Whether it’s from a picture, a song, a quote or a person – try to start your day with it. If it’s a picture, set it as the desktop background of your work station or print it and pin it to the wall in front of you. If it’s a song, listen to it first thing in the morning, on your drive to work or at the office when you feel a little down. Inspiration can be found in every corner and via many mediums – it’s just up to us to go searching for it.

5. Be grateful
Make the daily expression of gratitude a habit. Whether it’s gratitude for something small like a great dinner, good friends, or something bigger like a pay rise – express it. Make it a daily habit and watch as your perception of your seemingly monotonous life turns positive. When you focus on the positives of the day, you automatically start filtering through negativity and pessimism, opening your eyes to the beautiful, happy occurrences that happen throughout your day.

Positivity is an important companion ofpersonal growth. I hope these 5 ways will help you overcome negativity and pessimism and aid in your journey of becoming a more positive individual.
