The Beginners Guide To Conscious Dreaming

January 24th, 2010 Neil Warner No comments

If you are aware you are dreaming while you are asleep, you are having lucid dreams. This is also referred to as conscious dreaming. Imagine you are in a dream and realize you are dreaming. When you are in this state, you can do just about anything you want in your dream.

This might sound almost unbelievable, but conscious dreaming is an ability you already have and can learn to harness with some practice. It?s not hard to start lucid dreaming and through this ability you can express yourself and come to full self-actualization. There are even some techniques which have been proven to produce lucid dreams that you can use.

The first thing you should do is to figure out what your goals are in learning conscious or lucid dreaming. Do you hope to have more enjoyment from your dreams, or is conscious dreaming a vehicle for you to achieve some of your other life goals?

After you define the reasons for wanting to learn to dream consciously, you can learn the steps to get your mind on the right level. You need to be in the right state of mind to be able to lucid dream. A good place to start is recalling your dreams. This means to remember any dreams you have had.

To start conscious dreaming, you have to learn to recall the dreams you have. The way which seems to help most people with this is to keep a dream diary by your bed. When you awake, write down every detail you can remember from your dreams. Do this as soon as you wake; our dreams have a way of slipping away from us quickly.

You will soon find you are remembering your dreams more clearly and in more detail. You can use your journal to help you remember more. Once your mind is used to remembering your dreams you are ready for the next step and that is to be aware you are dreaming. You may wake up in a dream so to speak but still know it is not real and only a dream.

Hypnosis is another widely used method for lucid dreaming. It is a good way to get into the state of mind you need to begin lucid dreaming. A hypnosis session works quickly to help people to recall the tiniest details in their dreams. This can be done in only a few sessions. Once you have this level of dream recall, you are ready to proceed with conscious dreaming.

When you first start lucid dreaming, you might awaken suddenly from them; this is a pretty common occurrence. To get back into these dreams, focus on the details of the dream as you return to sleep.

A third way to train yourself to conscious dream is to awaken yourself a couple of hours earlier than normal, then falling back to sleep. You are able to stay more aware in your dreams in this period of sleep, in fact you may feel you are half-awake and half-asleep. You may feel as if you are lying in bed thinking or daydreaming. If you are able to do this regularly, you will find lucid dreaming will come easily.

You?ll want to know your sleeping patterns, since this can help you to determine when the best times are for lucid dreams. However, you?ll still want to make sure to get plenty of sleep. When you are fatigued, you?ll have a harder time conscious dreaming.

However, it happens that lucid dreaming can be helpful to those afflicted with some sleep disorders including insomnia ? you?ll learn to banish the worrisome thoughts that can keep you from getting to sleep.

You may think that lucid dreaming will take years to master ? however, it?s something you can do with relatively little practice!

All of us can have conscious dreaming experiences; and by using the techniques listed here, you?ll be able to get into the driver?s seat of your dreams quickly.

Are you Interested in Learning how to Lucid Dream?

January 2nd, 2010 Neil Warner No comments

For those unfamiliar with the term, I have good news; Lucid Dreaming is actually a pretty simple concept. A Lucid Dream is a dram in which you are aware that you are dreaming. The degree to which your Lucid Dream is lucid is dependent on how much of the dream you can remember once you awaken, how stable the dream experience is and how much control you have over the dream.

Control over your dream is the most important element of Lucid Dreaming. It is an incredible experience to be in the midst of a dream and to know that you are in fact dreaming. You are in control of everything when having a Lucid Dream and can have any experience you choose to have.

Take a moment to imagine this. Your dream feels and looks like reality, you have most or all your senses, the only difference is that you know you are in fact sleeping. You are aware that no matter what happens, you are completely safe. You cannot die, become injured, or mess up your real life in a Lucid Dream. You can dig yourself into all sorts of imagined trouble and fantastic adventures since there are no rules or limits to your dreaming world or physical powers. Lucid Dreaming is far more advanced and has far more realism that any virtual reality generated by even the most sofisticat3ed computer technology.

A growing number of people are mastering Lucid Dreaming and trying it for themselves. While most of us have an experience with Lucid Dreaming at some point in our lives, just imagine how great it would be to have a Lucid Dram any time you choose!

You can open your own doorway to some amazing experiences by learning and mastering the practice of Lucid Dreaming. Imagine if you will, having the ability to meet and interact with famous people, taking fantastic sci-fi adventures, visiting galaxies far away, creating and manipulating fantasy worlds and touring them or ruling them, and even finally having your dream job or hobby without all the work or mess to get there! You can even meet lost loved ones or distant relatives since anything is possible with your lucid dreaming imagination!

Being able to Lucid Dream whenever you want is an ability which people once had to spend a very long time to learn. People would spend months and months in training before they had their very first Lucid Dream. Some people found that no matter how hard they tried, they were never able to have a Lucid Dream.

So are there any simple ways of experiencing a Lucid Dream?

There are those who claim that the odds of having a Lucid Dream will be increased by having certain foods close to bedtime. Some of these foods are orange juice, milk, cheese and mustard.

Other people have found success with foods such as: Pickles, Ice cream, Popcorn, and Fish. Although, the success rate for these foods has not been as successful as the foods described above. The claim is that these high acid and fatty foods help prepare the brain for the lucidity session. There are two main problems with eating these foods. The first is that these foods do not induce a restful night’s sleep, and eating before bed can cause weight gain.

Can Technology Assist You?

Technological developments have made it easier than ever for people to have Lucid Dreaming experiences. Devices which can assist you in having Lucid Dreams include sleep masks and eyeshades which flash a LED when REM sleep is detected, reminding the dreamer that they are dreaming and lets them take control over their dream!

One of these new technologies which is very promising is binaural beats, which uses advanced audio technologies to play different frequencies into each ear. This helps people to have Lucid Dreams.

Binaural frequencies help to synchronize the hemispheres of your brain ? listening to them helps the brain to reach REM sleep, which is the necessary state for Lucid Dreaming.

If you have always wanted to try Lucid Dreaming for yourself, binaural sound presents the quickest and easiest way to begin.

The Science Of Regular Lucid Dreaming

December 4th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

Lucid Dreaming or Conscious Dreaming is the art of being aware that one is actually dreaming. In simple words, while in dream, you are aware that all the events are not happening in fact, or ?It?s Just A Dream!? kind of situation. There is certain amount of control you can exercise while lucid dreaming, which is not the case in normal dreams.

The power of having complete control over the direction of your dreams is something straight out of metaphysical existence. Suddenly, all the limitations you ever felt in life just cease to exist.

So, you ask, can it really be that simple? Surely not every single common person who wants to can experience lucid dreaming!

In fact, lucid dreaming is not too difficult an ask. If you are determined to learn this powerful medium of expressing your inner desires, there are tried and tested ways of achieving this.

Foremost, you must be absolutely clear about your objective in trying to master the art of lucid dreaming. Do you just want to have your own private playground in the form of lucid dreams, or there is some specific reason for developing this skill? Whatever may be the reason, it should be crystal clear in your mind.

Once you have this, you can begin actually learning lucid dreaming. It begins with Dream Recall, or remembering a dream you had the night before. Only when you’re able to do this can you progress into learning actual lucid dreaming.

The process is slow, but it can be achieved by maintaining a Dream Recall Register in which you enter as many details as you can remember about your dreams daily. Slowly but surely, you?ll realize that you can remember even the most vivid details of your dreams. Periodic reality checks during the course of dreaming will train your mind to be aware in dreams.

Many people have used hypnosis to dramatically reduce the time they need to train their subconscious mind to engage in lucid dreaming. Many times merely one of two hypnosis sessions permit one to consistently remember all of their dreams, so they are prepared for lucid dreaming.

Now, you can get to lucid dreams more easily by simply going back to sleep a few hours before you intend to wake up for the day.

Another great way to have lucid dreams is to go back to sleep for a couple of hours after you wake up in the morning. These dreams are the closest to lucid dreams as they leave you wondering if they were actually dreams or your thoughts manifested in the form of a purported event.

Insomnia can be cured with lucid dreaming, too! If you can’t get to sleep when you put your head down on that pillow, all you need to is suggest to your mind that to sleep is to lucid dream, and you’ll find your mind will take care of everything and make it so you can sleep soundly.

It’s always been hard, however, to actually take the time to prepare the mind for lucid dreaming. But recent advances in sonic technology have made it all more egalitarian.

Recent advances in sound technologies have made it much faster and easier for one to learn lucid dreaming.

Slightly different frequencies get played into each ear by way of stereophonic technology. Thus, the listener’s brain waves are harmonized to the right frequency for lucid dreaming to be induced.

In the years prior to this technology, only certain meditation techniques, which frequently took long years to learn and the perseverance and determination of a sage or saint, were available, and this drove many people to abandon their lucid dreaming quests altogether.

Before this technology was available the only sure way to be able to lucid dream to order was by the way of meditation techniques which often took years to learn and the perseverance and determination required was too much of a struggle for most people.

By listening to binaural sound waves, particular when combined with hypnosis to prepare the subconscious mind, it is possible for you to experience lucid dreaming very soon after your first attempt.

Ways to Use the Power of Your Subconscious Mind

November 2nd, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

Your subconscious mind is easily the most powerful force on the planet and it shouldn’t be underestimated. Everything you do or say or think begins in your mind. When you can tap the power of your subconscious mind, that power can be manifested to your conscious mind.

Have you ever done anything throughout your day on complete auto-pilot? Simple tasks that you just get done without thinking about why you’re doing them are those controlled by your subconscious mind power need to do them.

Your subconscious mind creates reactions within you that make you do the things you do. When you consciously take action to complete a task or do something you want to get done, that was using the power of your subconscious mind. Imagine what you could achieve if you had the power to direct your subconscious mind to generate conscious actions within yourself that helped you fulfill all the things you dreamed.

Utilizing the full power, and properly training your subconscious mind can be the difference between letting your life control you and you controlling your life. While we’re told too often of the ‘dangers’ of the subconscious, it’s really a well of untapped potential to be used. It’s an example of negative expectations drawing negative results.

That rule of expectations drawing results can be inverted; people who think about positive outcomes usually get positive results. This is an example of subconscious mind training. While that sounds like it’s complex, it really is no different than maintaining a positive mental outlook. Doing this requires taking a set of simple processes, and working through them one step at a time, and it can be the key to unlocking limitless potential.

The simplest as best known way of communicating with the subconscious mind is by using affirmations. This is basically a constant repetition of positive words.

When you want to achieve a daunting goal that is looming in front of you, for example, you might find yourself overcome with a feeling of weariness and tiredness. This is something that is a natural stress response to something that you do not want to do. With the power of affirmation working behind you, though, you’ll find that you can actually beat this state of mind and look for a better way to approach the task at hand. This is something that can make a huge difference.

Affirmations are those mental reminders and assertions of the positive things you want to achieve and want to become. Learning to use affirmations to help you achieve the things you want in life can increase your motivation and your focus in a positive way.

You’re also able to change your habits through use of affirmations. You might want to stop smoking or learn to stop overeating or even feel more motivated about exercising more regularly. These affirmations confirm the things you want to your subconscious, which then creates the impulses that remind your conscious mind of the things you should be doing.

There are also other methods that you can use when you want to tap into the potential of your subconscious mind. You can use post-hypnotic suggestion this way and though it can require the talents of a skilled hypnotherapist, you can also use a pre-recorded hypnosis audio tape for just this reason.

You might also want to try brainwave synchronization or binaural beats. These are specially created sound frequencies you play through a set of headphones. The frequencies change so you hear different things in each ear. This can synchronize the separate sides of your brain which can allow you to descend into a deep meditation easily. You’re able to access your subconscious more easily in this state.

There is more research going on that might take this even further. Buddhist monks are reputed to have the ability to levitate or turn invisible, or withstand extremes of temperature far beyond other people, all through reaching into the power of their subconscious mind.

Understanding how you can create the life you dreamed of or the relationship you desire or even that ideal job you always wanted has been made a little easier through films and books like ‘The Secret’. Often called the Law of Attraction, this theory shows how learning to control the power within your own mind can manifest those things you want most.

Though this is something that sounds difficult to believe, the truth of the mater is that quantum physics are show us that we are living in worlds that are controlled by our own minds. So many of these supposedly supernatural phenomenon are created or controlled in scientific experiments using quantum physics.

Your ability to use the power of the Law of Attraction is vast, and capable of changing your life in dramatic ways. Never overlook the power of maintaining a positive mental outlook, and focusing on goals, and building a plan. The only constraint on what you can do is what you teach your subconscious mind to do!

Dreams And Lucid Dreaming

November 1st, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

Many people want to experience a lucid dream. If you’re among them, the first thing you need to think about is how you want to go about learning.

You also need to think about exactly why you want to become a lucid dreamer. What are the benefits of dreaming lucidly? To help us find the benefits, let us first look at ‘normal’ sleep.

Normal sleep helps us refresh ourselves for the next day. However, when you experience lucid dreaming, you would be able to control the period of time when you were dreaming.

Normal sleep is just a method of refreshing ourselves for the busyness of the next day. However, it could be a lot more interesting if you could control the period of time in which you’re dreaming.

Lucid dreamers are in complete control of their dreams. This allows them to explore new worlds in their mind and expand the scope of their dreams. Lucid dreamers can also conscious choose not to have nightmares – they just change the dream.

So if you want to become a lucid dreamer how do you do it? There are actually two ways. The first way is having a dream-initiated lucid dream (DILD), which is where the dreamer is in a dream and then realizes that they are, restoring their sense of consciousness within the dream.

Method number

two is a wake initiated lucid dream, or WILD. This is when the dreamer begins awake, then goes to being asleep, but without losing consciousness. The dreamer enters their dream as though via a door, instead of waking up inside a dream he or she is already having.

So what are the actual methods used to induce these two types of lucid dream experiences?

Dream Recall

If you’d like to lucid dream, perhaps one of the most successful way of doing so is known as dream recall. Dream recall is simply the ability to remember one’s dreams. By remembering your dreams, you are able to recognize them when you are sleeping, because most likely, you will have the same dream, or at least aspects of it, more than once.

The way to practise dream recall is by keeping a dream journal. The dream journal is meant as a tool to write down anything you can remember about your dream, in order to recall it for the future. This should be done right after waking up; otherwise dreams will become harder to remember.

Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams (MILD)

This technique was developed by Dr. Stephen LaBerge, one of lucid dreaming’s lead scientists. The method used here is telling yourself that you’ll remember something in your dream. Once in the dream, you’ll see this object, recall what you told yourself, and realize you’re dreaming. Wake-Back-To-Bed (WBTB)

To use this method, first go to sleep. Set an alarm beforehand to wake you up a few hours later (about five or six). Once you wake up, don’t go back to sleep. Read for a little while, or think about lucid dreaming for a while, then head back to sleep.

To use this process, go to sleep with an alarm set to wake you up five to six hours later. When you wake up, don’t go right back to sleep. Instead, do something else, like think about lucid dreaming or read a book, for about an hour. Then go back to bed.

According to Dr. LaBerge, this
technique has a success rate of about sixty percent. That’s because you’ve awakened in the middle of the sleep process, while you’re still in the middle of an REM cycle and not completely aware. It’s like telling your mind that you’re interested in lucid dreaming.

Cycle Adjustment Technique

Wake Initiation of Lucid Dream (WILD)

Wake-initiation of Lucid Dreams (WILD)

This method is described above. If you’d like to use it, the thing to do is to keep your mind awake during the process of your body falling asleep. This is one of the most interesting ways of entering lucid dreams, and is a lot like watching a movie. Just like when you’re watching a movie, you start in a state of readiness, and prepare yourself. Then, you’ll either hit play or start to fall asleep. The screen and what you see when your eyes are closed are both black. Just wait for your movie or dream to begin.

Recent technological advances mean that dreaming masks and other useful devices have been developed. They contain strobe lights and other devices that are believed to induce lucid dreaming.

The most reliable and easiest way of inducing a lucid dream may be listening to binaural beats sound frequencies through headphones.

One of the easiest, most reliable methods to induce lucid dreaming is by listening to binaural beats and special sound frequencies through headphones.

These work by synchronizing the two hemispheres of the brain and have the effect of almost instantaneously changing your brainwaves to the REM frequency needed for a lucid dream to occur.

Combined with the self hypnosis sessions and affirmations to prepare your subconscious mind beforehand, becoming a lucid dreamer is something that everyone can now experience!

So You Want To Lucid Dream…

October 22nd, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

If you are not quite sure what it is, Lucid Dreaming is actually pretty simple. Lucid Dreams are those where you are aware of the fact that you are dreaming while you are dreaming. How lucid exactly your lucid dream is depends on how much control you have over the events of the dream, how stable the dream is and how many of the events of the dream you can remember once you wake up from it.

The most important part of lucid dreaming, of course is the question of whether or not you have control over the things which are happening in your dream and to be aware that you are dreaming. You are in the director’s chair of your dream – meaning that you can have any experience you want in your Lucid Dream.

Imagine for a few moments what that is like. Dreaming usually seems a lot like reality. Most people even feel most of their senses and faculties as if they were awake. The difference is that when lucid dreaming, they know they are dreaming. They know that, no matter what happens, they cannot die or become injured while in the dream state. The normal rules and regulations of reality no longer exist. This is, for all practical purposes, you inborn virtual reality world and you make up all the rules. The depth of realism and imagination is not hemmed in by a budget or computer graphics.

More and more people are learning how too use the skill of Lucid Dreaming. Most of us have a Lucid Dream from time to time but just think how wonderful it would be to be able to have a Lucid Dream anytime you want!

A Lucid Dream offers you the chance to have any experience you can imagine. You can meet and hang out with your favorite celebrities and historical figures, have erotic experiences, visit other worlds, speak with a long lost loved one; anything at all! There are no limits other than your imagination.

Having regular Lucid Dreaming experiences is something which until recently it took months to achieve. People would spend as long as a year in training to have their first Lucid Dream – and it remained out of reach for some people no matter how long they tried.

Some Simple Ideas that May Produce a Lucid Dream

Some say that you can help increase your odds of having a Lucid Dreaming by eating certain foods before bedtime; among them are mustard, orange juice, milk and cheese.

Some other people have noted that pickles, ice cream, popcorn, and even fish have assisted them. These may not be as effective in aiding Lucid Dream occurrences. The idea that some people claim is that these foods containing high sugar, high fat, and even high acid content, prepare your brain for the session. They even claim that they prepare your brain to recall the Lucid Dream afterwards. The main issue is that these foods hamper the body and minds ability to produce restful sleep.

Assistant Technology

New technologies can make it somewhat easier to experience Lucid Dreaming. There are devices which can help to stimulate you to have Lucid Dreams such as eyeshades and sleep masks which activate a LED when rapid eye movements are detected. This light reminds you that you are dreaming; letting you take control of the dream!

One of the most effective of these new technologies is one which uses audio frequencies called binaural beats. Each of the listener’s ears have different frequencies played into them, which helps you to have Lucid Dreams.

Binaural frequencies can synchronize the hemispheres of the brain; as you listen, your mind reaches the state of REM sleep; which is necessary fro Lucid Dreaming to occur.

If you would really love to experience a Lucid Dream then this is for you. This is definitely one of the easiest methods and devices that assist in achieving a Lucid Dream.

Tactics Needed For Conscious Dreaming

October 10th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

Also known as lucid dreaming, conscious dreaming is the state of being aware and in control while you are dreaming. That is to say, you know that you are dreaming while you are in the middle of a dream! When you are conscious that you’re dreaming, you can control the events of your dreams.

While having the ability to control your dreams may sound farfetched, it’s actually something which is within your reach. Lucid dreaming isn’t that hard to do and these dreams are a great place to express your true self and your desires. There are techniques which have proven effective at producing lucid dreams.

Before you get started, take a step back and think about what you want to accomplish by means of conscious dreaming – do you just want to have more enjoyable dreams, or are there goals in your life which lucid dreaming can help you to reach?

Once you have a clear idea of your goals, you are ready to start practicing the techniques which lead to conscious dreaming. The first step for many is dream recall, which involves training yourself to remember you dreams in detail.

To start conscious dreaming, you have to learn to recall the dreams you have. The way which seems to help most people with this is to keep a dream diary by your bed. When you awake, write down every detail you can remember from your dreams. Do this as soon as you wake; our dreams have a way of slipping away from us quickly.

Keeping a dream diary trains your mind to recall and recognize dreams; this makes it easy to “awaken” during a dream and start asserting control over it.

A common problem people have when they get started in conscious dreaming is suddenly awakening from their conscious dreams; to return to your dream, go back to sleep while concentrating on the events of the dream in as much detail as possible.

Another method which many find useful for inducing conscious dreaming is to wake up a few hours earlier than normal. Simply set your alarm about two hours early and then go back to bed after awakening. In these last few hours before you are accustomed to waking up, it is much more common to have lucid dreams. These dreams can be hard to tell from simply laying awake and daydreaming! This is a good way to begin conscious dreaming.

Figure out your sleep patterns, as this will help you to figure out when the best times for you to have conscious dreaming experiences are. Don’t short yourself on sleep too much though; being sleep deprived makes it harder to have lucid dreams.

Those afflicted with insomnia and other sleep disorders may be pleased to hear that conscious dreaming can help them to get a better night’s sleep – it makes it easier to clear away the worries which can keep you from getting to sleep at night.

Conscious dreaming can be learned much easier than you think – it doesn’t take years of practice to do.

It is so easy to lucid dream that almost anyone can achieve it. Put a little time into it and choose one of these methods to learn the power of lucid dreaming. Try all three methods and see which one works best for you. Discover what lies within your dreams.

Do You Like The Idea Of Lucid Dreams?

July 21st, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

Lucid dreams are dreams you are having, but you are aware that they are dreams and can actually control them. You are aware of every move you make, and the things you say. You decide where you want to go, what you want to do, what you want to say and who you want to be with.

There are no limits to what you can experience through Lucid dreams. You can be the star of a romantic fantasy novel, or high action adventure, you can control the outcome or change the endings to what makes you happiest.

The advantages of lucid dreaming over normal dreams is obvious; you control them! They can be so vividly real that you may even have to do checks to be sure that you are really dreaming and not awake.

In a dream, certain things will not seem right, like reading words, or colors may not be pronounced. There are simple tests many people do to see if they are really are having a lucid dream or are in a state like sleep walking, for example.

There are times that you like someone and want to be with someone. However, it might not be possible in reality but it is definitely possible in a lucid dream. You can even date and marry a Hollywood star in a lucid dream.

As soon as you realize you are dreaming start to change it, so that what you want to happen does. For example, imagine you are with the person you have been fantasying about, but now that person returns your smile, you get closer and soon touch. Just use your imagination to control your dream.

Lucid dreams are very much possible. Though the body needs to revive itself for the next day by sleeping and resting, it is possible for your mind to be partly conscious.

It can take awhile to learn the techniques of lucid dreaming if you have never done it, but it can be learned over a period of time with practice.

Trying to remember your dreams and what they were about, who was in them and the outcome is a good way to start. Dream interpreters say to keep a pad and pen by handy so that you waste no time jotting down your images as soon as you remember them or awaken. It is possible the dream will repeat its self and you can finish writing it down. If you document your lucid dreams as you go, you may start to see a pattern develop over a period of time.

If you are a writer this information is invaluable. You may have your next novel lined up. In a lucid dream you create the scenes and actions. The dream ends the way you want it to. Lucid dreaming is a time to pacify our inner ambitions and desires and plan their execution in reality.

Try to recall everything you can about your dream, go back to sleep and, if you can, return to where you were before you woke up and you will continue to dream. The dream will occur more than once, so you will have the opportunity to recall more each time it does occur. Recalling more each time you try.

If you wake before your normal time, let’s say you have a couple of hours to go; this is the easiest time for lucid dreaming. It may seem like you have been awake and thinking all the time, but you have actually been lucid dreaming.

Techniques, such as self-hypnosis can sometimes help you to recall vividly your lucid dreams, but many people find recalling lucid dreams easy to do.

Another quick way of experiencing lucid dreams is to use a modern technique known as binaural beats. This involves using unique frequencies to synchronize the hemispheres of the brain which will automatically put your brainwaves in a frequency which corresponds to the state of lucid dreaming.

Live Life In A Lucid Dream!

July 16th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

If you are unfamiliar with the term, a Lucid Dream is one in which you are aware that you are dreaming. Lucid, of course denotes consciousness. The extent to which you are lucid within your dream depends on how stable the dream is, how much of the dream you can recall upon waking and how much control you have over the course of the dream.

Having control over the dream is the most important part of a Lucid Dream. It’s an amazing thing to be in a dream yet to know that it is in fact a dream. You are in the driver’s seat of your dream and you can experience anything you have ever wanted to.

Imagine for a few moments what that is like. Dreaming usually seems a lot like reality. Most people even feel most of their senses and faculties as if they were awake. The difference is hat in a Lucid Dream, they know they are dreaming.

It can be fairly complicated to achieve controlled Lucid Dreams on a regular basis. Up until recently many people spent months in training and using special self-conditioning procedures before even experiencing one single Lucid Dream. Even then, most people never even succeed once, let alone on a regular basis.

Some Simple Ideas that May Produce a Lucid Dream

Some people report that certain foods can encourage Lucid Dreaming if consumed shortly before sleeping – Mustard, Orange Juice and dairy products among them.

Others swear by pickles, fish, ice cream and popcorn. They say that these foods lay the necessary conditions for Lucid Dreaming to occur; but keep in mind that these foods are also high in fat and salt, which isn’t going to help you to get a good night’s sleep.

Can Technology Assist You?

Your chances to experience Lucid Dream session improves with the new advancing technology. There are now devices on the market that alerts you that you are dreaming and which can induce a Lucid Dream Session. These are quite innovative in that they are simply masks which monitor your eyes. When they detect REM or Rapid Eye Movement, which is an indicator of dreaming, a red diode blinks into your eyes. This beam is registered in your brain and serves as a reminder that you are in fact dreaming and that you are still in control. It is then that you can take control o the dream.

Even more exciting devices are coming to the market. One of these is a piece of sound wave technology. This has opened up a new realm for those whom desire a Lucid Dream. The process involves playing a different sound wave in each ear. This process is known as binaural beats.

Binaural beats serve to induce a synchronizing in both hemispheres of the brain. As if instantly these two special frequencies induce the brain to produce a state of REM sleep. This is where your Lucid Dream can begin.

If you would really love to experience a Lucid Dream then this is for you. This is definitely one of the easiest methods and devices that assist in achieving a Lucid Dream.

Lucid Dreaming Tactics Explained

July 6th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

Lucid Dreaming or Conscious Dreaming is the art of being aware that one is actually dreaming. In simple words, while in dream, you are aware that all the events are not happening in fact, or “It’s Just A Dream!” kind of situation. There is certain amount of control you can exercise while lucid dreaming, which is not the case in normal dreams.

Having control over your dreams is an incredible experience. Everything which you thought you couldn’t keep from holding you back from your goals just falls before you and you have new found mental clarity, even when awake.

Can it be so simple? Can you lucid dream and then make those things that in the waking hours seem impossibly difficult come to life in reality.

You can easily practice lucid dreaming. Many studies prove that you have the ability to do this, if you commit yourself to learning how to harness this powerful medium while expressing your inner desires.

Foremost, you must be absolutely clear about your objective in trying to master the art of lucid dreaming. Do you just want to have your own private playground in the form of lucid dreams, or there is some specific reason for developing this skill? Whatever may be the reason, it should be crystal clear in your mind.

Then starts the actual process of learning this art. Firstly, you need to learn a process, called Dream Recall, i.e., recalling a dream you had the previous night. Unless you remember a dream, you can’t achieve the stage of lucid dreaming.

The process is slow, but it can be achieved by maintaining a Dream Recall Register in which you enter as many details as you can remember about your dreams daily. Slowly but surely, you’ll realize that you can remember even the most vivid details of your dreams. Periodic reality checks during the course of dreaming will train your mind to be aware in dreams.

Some individuals have found that the time for preparing the subconscious mind for experiencing lucid dreaming is reduced greatly by having hypnosis. You have the ability to continually recall your dreams by having one or two sessions, in most cases. Once this occurs your mind is then conditioned for lucid dreaming.

You will find at first that you sometimes will awake suddenly during lucid dreams. This is normal. Just recall the events of your dream as you try to fall back asleep and attempt to reenter the dream, steering in the direction that you want it go.

Another great way to have lucid dreams is to go back to sleep for a couple of hours after you wake up in the morning. These dreams are the closest to lucid dreams as they leave you wondering if they were actually dreams or your thoughts manifested in the form of a purported event.

When learning lucid dreaming, it helps to be well aware of your sleep patterns so you know when the best times for you to have lucid dreams are.

Do you know you can overcome such sleeping disorders as insomnia by learning to lucid dream? If you are one who struggles with getting your sleep during normal sleeping hours, simply tell your mind that sleeping equals lucid dreaming. All those bothersome thoughts that keep you from going to sleep will be taken care of by your mind.

It once was the case that it could take years to learn lucid dreaming; the only way to prepare the mind was meditation, which took a long time to master. A lot of people lack the discipline and would simply give up. New technologies, especially audio technology have made it possible for anyone to experience lucid dreaming.

Many people are finding that the most reliable and certainly quickest way, of having a lucid dream is by listening to binaural audios.

Binaural audios work by playing various degrees of frequencies into each ear. The results are deeply relaxing for the listener and then shifting their brain waves to the same frequency for having lucid dreams.

Before this time the only way for you to learn how to lucid dream was to make use of meditation techniques that took several years to master with firmness and strength of mind power. However, many individuals felt it to be too difficult to continue, before this new technology became available.

When binaural sound waves and hypnosis are used for preparing the subconscious mind it is very possible for you to experience lucid dreaming sooner.
