Everyone has a worldview. Worldviews are formed by presuppositions, upbringing, culture, education, media, films and even computer console games. Worldviews are not always formed purposely; they may actually be absorbed by osmosis from the culture around us. Many would lack the ability to protect what they believe concerning the meaning and purpose of life; their worldview is a mesh mash of their experiences and the influences around them. From another standpoint, the Bible worldview is a learned and based primarily on what Scripture teaches, and is the sole worldview that promises hope . It is based on these seven truths:
- God exists (Heb. 11:6)
- The Bible is God?s divinely impressed Word (2 Tim. 3:16)
- God made everything that exists (Gen.1:1)
- God holds everything together (Col. 1:17)
- God came to earth and lived in the body of Jesus Christ 2,000 years back (Col. 1:19).
- In the Garden of Eden Mankind selected to rebel against God and on account of that act of rebellion, sin and death entered the world (Rom. 5:12-14).
- Believing in Jesus Christ is the only possible way to have eternal life or to be brought back together ?with Our Lord God (John 3:15-19, 5:24), (Luke 8:21, John 3:20, John 14:21, 23-24), (Acts 4:10-12).
God Exists
Whether Gods exists or not in the mind of a person is the base for every other conjectures that compose a world view. If there is no God in a person’s mind, the random choice or natural selection speculation of Darwin is the only other alternative. Since natural selection eliminates any higher authority with no one to be accountable to, then there are no definites, no morals, nor any wrong or right and nothing actually matters, thus only incomprehensible and despair.
A Biblical world view is based upon the proof that God does exist, and the evidence of his presence can be seen all around us:
- In the intricacy of earth?s self sustaining design; perfect in each way to meets life?s wishes with the perfect size and supporting functions of the moon.
- In the universe. The universe had to have a beginning. Who started it and who fortifies it with an unchanging set of laws?
- In the human body: The DNA code informs, programs a cell’s behavior with laws that are undeniable perfect.
- In his revelation inside us: H e pursues us and creates Devine information inside us of his existence. We are innately beings of worship, regardless of whether it is God we decide to worship.
- In his son: More than another way God revealed himself thru his son Jesus Christ.
The Bible is God?s divinely inspired Word to humankind
All scripture is given by inspiration of The Lord God, and is rewarding for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Tim. 3:16)
In 1,000s of years the Bible has yet to be proven wrong. Yes, there have been instances when science or historians presented reasons why the Bible couldn’t be true scientifically or historically, but their reasons have been proven to be wrong in time. Below are several articles that are on my otobefree.com website under the heading of Bible on the navagational bar that give the reasons why we know the Bible is the word of God:
- Introduction
- Bible and Science
- Bible and Histor
- Bible and Prophecy
- Bible and Unity
- Bible and Power
God created all things
At the start God made the heavens and the earth. (Gen.1:1)
?For by him [Christ] all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were made by him and for him. He’s before all things, and in him all things hold together. (Col. 1:17)
There are two theories for creation: creationism as indicated by Gen 1:1 and Col. 1:17, and random selection. Both must be accepted by faith because there aren’t any human witnesses for either. There are 2 Problems. With creationism there are many who refuse to accept the idea of a. Supernatural being with omnipotent powers to make a universe and all that it contains. With evolution it is the problem of accepting something that goes against all reason or logic, but since it’s the only alternative aside from accepting God, many say they accept it whether or not they truly do or not. With the modern day advances in science many scientists do not accept evolution, but neither do they accept creationism. I guess you could say they are kind of in limbo.
Even if a scientific law, the second law of thermodynamics, which proves that things left to themselves don’t improve but denigrate, people still believe that things do improve thru genetic mutations and evolve from lower forms to higher forms. However , Science cannot explain how there are precise, incontrovertible laws which control everything in the universe, including the human body, when it would be more practical to expect random selection to also be randomly changing without any strict patterns.
God holds everything together
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. (Col. 1:17)
We know that all mater is made up of atoms. Atoms are made from a nucleus and electrons that swirl around the nucleus at great speeds. Though theories have been presented in regards to what holds these atoms together, it is a mystery.
Sir Isaac Newton was 24 years of age when he discovered that all bodies of matter possess a mutual attraction, what we call gravity that makes things fall downward rather than up. That also keeps us from flying off the earth which is spinning thru space at a speed of nearly 67,000 miles per hour.
In Colossians 1:16-17 we are told that Christ is the gravity that holds things together, For by him [Christ] all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, apparent and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were made by him and for him. He’s before all things, and in him all things hold together.
It is sort of amazing that Christ is the power behind the universe which he made, and the power we call gravity, or whatever mystery it is, that holds things together!
God disclosed himself to us when he came to earth as Jesus Christ
For God was happy to have all his fullness dwell in him, and thru him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace thru his blood, shed on the cross . (Colossians 1:19-20)
Sin and death entered the world because Humankind chose to rebel against God
Death Through Adam, Life Thru Christ:
just as sin entered the world thru one man, and death thru sin, and in this fashion death came to all folk, because all sinned.
To be absolutely certain, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin isn’t charged against anyone’s account where there is not any law. However, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over people who didn’t sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come . (Romans 5:12-14)
According to Scripture believing in Jesus Christ is the sole way to have eternal life or to have a liaison with God.
Neither is there deliverance in any other: for there’s none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we’ve got to be saved . (Acts 4:12)
Really really I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and won’t be judged but has crossed over from death to life. (John 5:24)
Jesus recounted, I’m the way, the truth, and the life, and no man cometh to the Father but by me. (John 14:6)
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto deliverance. (Romans 10:10)
If you’d like to start a relationship with God now, your are able to.
The choice is solely yours. There’s no coercion. But if you have a desire to have a connection with God and receive his forgiveness and promise of eternal life, you can do that right now today. Jesus expounded, “Behold, I stand at the door [of your heart] and knock. He who hears my voice and opens the door, I’ll come into him [or her]“ (Rev. 3:20). If this is your want but don’t know the way to word your request, this could help:
“Jesus, I think you died for my sins and rose from the grave. I would like to turn from my life of sin and receive your forgiveness. Please come into my life right now and excuse me. Many thanks for saving me. Amen.”
When God comes into a person?s life it is permanent. Jesus Christ expounded, “I know them, and they follow me; and I give them eternal life,. And they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.”
I am so thankful and blessed by your decision to get Jesus. I would like to help you in your new found relationship with him. Please click the link below to show you have prayed the prayer above and I am going to send you some material which I think that you will find to be exceedingly helpful1
