Anger Management Therapy For The Over Fifties

November 30th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

Do you have anger management issues? Are you looking for potential ways to control your anger? If you have answered yes to one or both of these questions then this article could well prove to be of benefit.

At this stage I am going to make it clear that I am by no way a specialist in this field. I actually offer various forms of stuttering therapies, I also have an interest in offering web promotion tips and cheap calls.

So you have anger management issues and are in need of help. Your life is falling apart at the seems, all of that you have built up and worked hard to achieve is in danger of being taken away from you. The time has come to re-take control of your life, you are determined to learn from the mistakes of the past. Today will be the start of a new you – the real you – a kind, warm-hearted and caring person.

However bad things may have become there is a future to think about. It may at this stage seem as if this future may not be that bright however things change, that is if you are willing to change.

The opening question has to be: Are you determined to change the way in which you live your life? Other questions quickly follow on:

Are you willing to learn from your past mistakes?
Are you happy to attend some type of counselling or anger management course?
Do you have the determination to kill your inner voices that are making you behave in this way?
Will you put in the required effort to make the necessary changes work?

I am hoping of course, more for your sake than mine that you have answered yes to all of these questions, as are the people closest to you such as your immediate family and friends.

Now is the time to start being honest with yourself. What has been the main cause of your anger issues? Do you have an overly stressful life? Do you drink too much alcohol?

It is prudent that at times like this that we seek the help of anger management experts. These people are the ones that could help you to change.

Take time for yourself, treat yourself, possibly a massage, possibly reflexology, possibly a weekend away – anything that can help you to unwind. The body needs a treat from time to time and by that I do not mean alcohol which is well known to be the biggest cause of anger related issues.

Give it your best shot – I am sure that if you believe in yourself you will succeed.

Addressing Anxiety Disorder

November 29th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

Unrelenting and excessive worrying that is both disruptive and repetitive. We can thus define in very simple terms the specificity of generalized anxiety disorder, a health issue that affects more and more people all over the world. Although encountered in all group ages, generalized anxiety disorder usually appears between twenty and thirty years of age. There are very many teenagers and children affected by this illness as well. An important aspect here is that generalized anxiety disorder does not start abruptly in older age, it normally progresses from less serious forms until it reaches maximum intensity. Regular worries don’t represent symptoms of this disorder as they are part of normal daily life.  Seattle HCG Diet & Weight Loss.

People who suffer from generalized anxiety disorder are normally capable of carrying on with their activities, but they feel restless, full of fear and worries even without an apparent reason. Nevertheless, the intensity of the psychological and physiological symptoms could disrupt normal tasks specific to work and household activities. There are many treatments available for generalized anxiety disorder and, although drugs seem like the easy way to keeping things under control, they are not. Anti-anxiety medication treats the symptoms but leaves you just as exposed to panic attacks and excessive worrying once the treatment is over.  Seattle Renton Bellevue HCG Diet & Weight Loss.

Psychotherapy should improve the condition of  a patient’s generalized anxiety disorder, but he or she should be fully committed to the treatment. Therapy, no matter of its specificity, should teach people how to self-soothe and eliminate the thoughts that keep the constant tension in their minds and bodies. Meditation, breathing techniques, positive thinking, hobbies, yoga, neuro-linguistic programing and so on will do the trick when it comes to reducing the level of anxiety. It is also worth mentioning the fact that the symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder may become stronger on specific moments of the day.  Seattle Renton Bellevue HCG Diet & Weight Loss.

Patients with generalized anxiety disorder can recover very well if they follow a good treatment pattern. However, the vicious circle cannot be broken for years sometimes, either because of the incorrect choice of therapy or because they cannot put into practice the techniques they learn in therapy sessions. Therefore, individual factors such as determination, self-awareness, perseverance in finding a treatment will significantly contribute to the level of mental health.

When can you say that help is already needed for a depression

November 29th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

All of us experience depression at one point in our lives.  There are just so many things that happen in our lives it is natural to feel down at times. But there are situations when the depression can get serious. That is when those people really need a counseling.Because the effects can be devastating if the depression gets worse. That is why in this article we are going to talk about the signs on how to know when to seek help for a depression.

First of all as mentioned earlier we all fall into depression at different times in our lives.Problems in marriage or relationship can cause depression. Or depression can be caused by losing a loved one in our lives.  The reasons for depression that I see in my depression counseling practice varies so much. But depression is a serious problem that is why it is important to know when to seek help.

You can tell a person may need some counseling if the depression extends for a long period of time. If you see someone depressed for days and they start to withdraw they may need help.Or another case is if someone has already withdrawn from socializing with other people. As a family counselor San Diego I have seen all these symptoms. Once you see them you need to seek out help.

They can hurt themselves is the reason why you must help people you know who are depressed. But they can also hurt other people and that is the more important reason. If that happens the depression has already turned into anger. Sometimes a person feels so depressed and helpless they get angry.  That is when I use my anger management San Diego services to help them. Because that anger can hurt others at this point.

If left untreated depression can really be dangerous. If you know someone that has depression you must act very fast.Their lives or other lives could be in danger.

Anger Management Therapies

November 28th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

For whatever reason I would seemingly become confrontational and aggressive over the simplest of things. I would often struggle to comprehend why a person could be so nasty to me and would, I suppose, want to punish them in my own way. I wanted to teach them a lesson which would help them to mend their ways. I have never been one for words; this was mainly due to the fact that I had a stutter up until the age of twenty-two – my way was the violent way.

Now before I continue I would like to make it clear that I do not work within the “anger management industry”; I personally am involved with various projects to do with offering cheap calls; offering people advice regarding becoming a foster carer and I also run a stammering therapy course.

I will give you an example of a situation where a person basically cheated me out of a large sum of money. I was looking at turning my front garden into a driveway and I had a number of people around to the house, all of which gave me a quote for the work.

Eventually I accepted a quote from a rather articulate man called John. Him and his team spent a couple of days laying the drive during which I was keeping them well supplied with foods and drinks, we all got on very well.

He advised me not to park my car on the new drive for a few days to let it settle and become hardened. I waited a week and then drove my car onto the new driveway. To my horror the driveway dipped and I later found out from a friend that they had not put any hardcore (I think that is what it is called) down.

I tried to contact John but he did not answer his phone, I went round to see him and he would not answer his door. I became more and more angry and started to plan my revenge.

Walking away

I had many options through the courts which I could and did pursue. John was fully prepared to accept responsibilty however he did not have the funds to pay back the cash.

It is far from easy but I am now able to turn the other cheek and to walk away from any potential trouble – there are times however when I feel that a cetain person deserves a bit of a slap. This is not just from the situation above but from any similar event.

When me wife annoys me, I will just walk away to compose myself. Another great tip that a person once gave me which is very simple but works, is to count to ten when you start to feel angry. Being angry, like the way I always used to be, is not good for my health and causes me to become stressed, to become depressed and to lose sleep.

It may well seem strange to the readers of this article however people for me are now like apples in a bucket. Out of ten apples, three will be rotten. Instead of feeling angry at the rotten apples, I feel sorry for them.

I firmly believe in God and have now decided that I do not need to seek any form of revenge as he will be judge and jury on judgement day. At this stage these people will have nowhere to hide.

Living life this way is far easier for me and I only wish I had had this approach and form of anger management technique, years ago.

How to Lower Your Anxiety

November 28th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

There are many types of anti-anxiety medication since drugs are usually the first to use when suffering from an intense and unexpected panic attack. However, tranquilizers don’t offer a cure for the health problem and they also have the disadvantage of causing all sorts of side effects. Here are some of the paradoxical and troublesome adverse reactions triggered by anti-anxiety medication in general. While the main benefit from their use is the state of calm and relaxation, sometimes drugs can relax you to the extent that you feel drowsy all the time.

Slow reflexes, poor coordination and fatigue are the anti-anxiety medication side effects resulting from the drugs blocking some specific chemical secretion in the brain. Some people also complain about impaired thinking, confusion, dizziness and disorientation, not to mention the impossibility to operate machines and drive. The extensive use of anti-anxiety medication can also cause depression with or without suicidal feelings. Drugs do eliminate the anxiety discomfort, but they also make it impossible for the sufferer to experience pain or pleasure thus affecting the quality of life in very many ways.  Seattle Bellevue Renton HCG Diet & Weight Loss.

Some reactions to anti-anxiety medication are truly paradoxical. For instance, tranquilizers are supposed to induce calm and relaxation, but in certain cases drugs can increase the agitation and the irritability level. Plus, mania, hostility and even rage have been noticed in some cases. The severest forms of side effects include hallucinations and aggressive behaviors, which, although rare, remain very dangerous. More than half of the peculiar reactions to anti-anxiety medications are usually encountered with the elderly and children, as well as with people that suffer from some developmental disabilities.  Seattle Bellevue Renton HCG Diet & Weight Loss.

Consequently, choosing the treatment well and complementing it with some other form of therapy represent essential stages for the patient’s full recovery, and thus should be considered as priorities for any treatment program or approach. Anti-anxiety medication only eliminates or alleviates symptoms without improving  the health condition in any way. The factor or the problem that generates the panic attacks remains lurking at the back of the mind, somehow camouflaged, and once the medical treatment is discontinued, you’re likely to experience anxiety all over again. Therefore, all the treatment efforts should be directed towards proper diagnosis and identification of the causes behind the disorder.  Seattle HCG Diet & Weight Loss.

Reason why only a few succeed at sports

November 27th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

One thing that baffles many people is why two equally gifted athletes can have different levels of success.  In other words there are many talented athletes that compete. Many of them have similar skill sets.  But some make it and some don’t.We would look at the reason as to why that happens in this article.Meaning we would find out what the secrets are of those successful atheletes.

It may be hard figure out at first but once you look and observe it for a long time it is easy to see why.Because you would see from these successful athletes that they have this proper mindset when it comes to competition.Mental toughness is the secret of these athletes or for any people who want to succeed in life. Those who are successful have trained their mentality to be tough.  As a family counselor San Diego practice I have a lot of parents who want their child succeed bring their kids in for this.

Success starts and ends with mental toughness. If a person is weak mentally they will not succeed at anything. This is a very competitive field and mental toughness would give you the edge to be successful.  That is why my sports psychologist San Diego practice gets so many clients.People know that this would give them the edge over their peers to be more sucessful than the others.

Most of the time a lot of athletes only rely on their physical gifts to bring them success. But once they meet others who are as gifted as they are they soon realize that it is not enough to be gifted physically only. This can make them frustrated and angry at themselves which can wreak havoc on their careers and lives.  Sometimes it leads them to need my anger management San Diego services. That would be the time when their anger needs to be dealt with also.

So now you may already realize why two physically gifted athletes can have different levels of success. If they can train their minds to be tough they can really be successful. But if they try to succeed on talent alone then it would be tall order.

Are People Strange or Just Their Behaviors?

November 27th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

Have you ever had the distinct notion that people really do not know what they want or even what they are looking for?  I believe this to be true because you can find someone who states that they want a solution to something. You offer them the perfect solution and yet they are not interested.

Next, you see this person get something that you know for sure is not going to help them solve the problem they stated to you.  It is really interesting.

You try to help someone and they turn down that help and go in a direction that you know will not help them.  Some people have to learn the hard way, I guess.  In fact, it seems that most people have to learn the hard way.

It is also insulting when people don’t trust you enough to take your advice. But, that is life. Everyone, is living in a world of confusion. If they knew the perfect answer for themselves, they wouldn’t be looking for any answers.

This shows how incredibly ignorant human kind is. I am not singling anyone out here. I am including myself. So do not think that I am talking directly to you.  I really mean all of us that are human.

Take the topic of gum disease for example. It is an important problem that many people have.  Yet, most people are not aware that they even have gum disease.  They will not believe you even if you tell them.

However, the statistics that dental care professionals share with us indicate that up to 80% of people have gum disease right now.  You can talk to people until you are blue in the face about this problem, but they still won’t believe they have it or that they should do anything about it.

It is kind of like bad breath. Many people have it, but they don’t seem to realize that they have it.  They get use to their own breath.

We live in a strange world.

How To Strengthen A Poor Self-Image and Create A Love Relationship

November 26th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

Free Relationship Video Reveals #1 Secret

Nanette Geiger, Law of Attraction Expert , writes… …

A common concern for friends of mine is their assumption that they have to drop 50 pounds and/or be financially independent before they can attract lasting love. This is of course a myth. This is just low self-esteem blocking you from being truly whole.

It is wonderful to desire to look your best, feel your best, have high self-esteem and feel good concerning your money situation. It feels truly wonderful to feel secure, confident, and attractive.

There are a HUGE amount of industries that prey on peoples’ low sense of self-image. At some time or another, we’ve all fallen prey to buying that new exercise machine that promises to make it simple for us to tone up, slim down and have a beautiful self. Supplements, special diets or dieting plans, hair products, skin, teeth, libido, all of it! And these things are all aimed at one basic premise – that we’re not inherently OK the way we already are.

We’re so accustomed to this type of thinking that we never even realize [what is. It’s no surprise that we subscribe to that pattern of thinking. After all, when we are born, on the first day of our life, we’re admired and treated as perfection – mostly. Then almost immediately we’re compared to how our older sibling evolved, at what age they attained this knowledge, learning to sit, crawling, learning the language, and so on. Our hair, our bodies and how they are similar or dissimilar to this one or that. “Oh, she looks similar to Aunt Mary when she was that age.” You understand the pattern.

Begin by analyzing your recurring thoughts and feelings concerning your body. Most people do not actually realize that they have stuck energy or emotions from these early experiences. Negative emotion, whether strong or subtle, does not feel good and many of us just learn to subjugate it, deal with it, or drive it farther into the underbelly of your mind. These influential emotional experiences usually stay buried. We have all heard the term “emotional baggage.” We walk through life with old unresolved, paining, hard to deal with feelings still held somewhere inside of us. These emotions transmit to the Universe to mirror back more of the same. You can free yourself by improving your self-esteem.

Start to change your connection with yourself by creating a list of things you appreciate about you. What really works about your body? What can you love concerning your appearance? Think of 10 things every day that you truly love about your body. Do you like your hands? Are you thankful for working fingers? Make a list of the positive things about you and view your energy and vibrational point of attraction begin to soar. You CAN improve your self-esteem and attract love.

Render the best towards your life, this is the first and last opportunity!

November 26th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

Our famous Cameron Roofers rightly say that we get life only once, so why should we spend it in worries and anxieties, we should live life to the fullest and very nicely so that we are remembered on this planet even after our deaths for our good deeds and nice characters. But this task can be accomplished only by means of our tough nature but sensitive heart. High thinking of Roofers! But high personalities like our famous Wimauma Plumbers (Need one? click here!) say that only success in life is not enough. Along with success a person needs to have a immaculate character. On the other side Wailuku Electricians (Need one? click here!) say that building path towards your goal should be very flawless. This means that success achieved in a right manner is the success in true sense. Not only true but long lived as well. Anybody has very rightly said that life is a journey, but problem is that it doesn’t comes with a roadmap. Very well said! Now, this statement can be taken in two different forms. There might be people who will take it as a negative statement in the first instance but if one thinks deeply it is a very encouraging statement. It is encouraging in the sense that it allots you the freedom of choosing the path towards your destination in your own way. This grants you the freedom of building your own path towards your climax. Reaching at apex in life is very difficult but is highly customized. Culmination of dreams is more inclined towards hard work rather than on luck. Thus, life at every moment is full of joy and anxiety. Thus, in the end I would like to end up the article by some relieving lines that don’t take life too seriously. We are here for temporary period. So why to worry and spoil even our temporary stay. Make your life beautiful and live happily. Take the note!

Are We All Conneced or Are We All Very Seperated From One Another?

November 25th, 2009 Neil Warner No comments

I overheard an interesting conversation the other day. The woman that was talking to another said that she believes we are all ‘connected’.

After thinking it over for a bit, a few questions came to mind.

If we are all connected then why do people feel lonely at times? One would presume that if we were all connected that it would be impossible to feel isolated or lonely.

Another thought is that if we are all connected why do we have so much trouble understanding each other?

Why do people miscommunicate so often? This doesn’t require much explanation because frankly, everyone has experienced the effect of misunderstandings in even the most basic of human communication.

Why do people fear telling others about bad breath, when it is easily solved with a product like therabreath? It is an act of kindness to tell someone.

Why are their wars? If we were so wonderfully connected there shouldn’t be any warfare. Any issues that come up would be rapidly solved by the innated understanding that should come from being connected.

Why is there so much diversity in our various belief systems and backgrounds. Let us face it, many cultures are almost diametrically opposed. One cultures ‘normal’ idea is another’s radical thought. This is similar to freedom fighters and terrorism. What one man calls a terrorist, another man will call a freedom fighter. This is living proof that our perceptions and beliefs are radically different from each other.

Why can such a powerful tool for oral health, such as the Hydro Floss oral irrigator – be a big uknown for so many people?

One some people call evil, others call good. How can this be? If something is bad or evil, it just is so. Why would someone else call it good?

With so many different ways of thinking, so many different believes, so many different value systems and all the variations of human thinking – how could we be all ‘connected’.

How come more people don’t find out about a good thing, such as Oramd, more quickly, if we are all, ‘connected’?

I’m not sure there is a good answer to this. All I can say is that if *I* were in charge – all of these problems would go away! Ok- Just kidding. I’m not such an egoist.

I am not sure how to answer these questions, but feel free to comment if you believe you have the answers!
